Exotic Metal Alloys is one of the pioneer trading houses of quality Nickel Alloy 201 Pipes, which are Commercially Pure Nickel. It only differs from Ni 200 Pipes by its carbon content, where this slight drop in carbon allows Nickel 201 Seamless Pipes to be utilized in higher temperature applications (over 600 Degree F).
Nickel 201 Welded Pipes are solid solution strengthened, commercially pure wrought materials with good mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures and excellent resistance to many corrosives, in particular hydroxides. Nickel 201 EFW Pipes was a modification of 200 to control carbon which keeps it from being embrittled by inter – granular precipitates at temperatures of 600 Degree F to 1400 Degree F in many processes.
Typically, the elemental restrictions of both, Nickel 201 EFW Pipes and nickel 201 pipes, are combined into one, dual – certified chemistry resulting in a single alloy with the desired characteristics of both alloys. Nickel 201 Round Pipes offer corrosion resistance in reducing and neutral media as well as in oxidizing atmospheres provided that the oxidizing media allows the formation of a passive oxide film.
The oxide film accounts for the excellent resistance of Nickel 201 Pipes in caustic environments. Corrosion rates of Nickel 201 Pipes in both marine and rural atmospheres are very low. Nickel 201 Pipes is normally limited to service at temperatures below 600 Degree F..
